drug of choice?

I did a phone interview with Lyne Lamoureux yesterday for her website podiuminsight.com and I wanted to share an exchange we had that I kept laughing about the rest of the day but I was assured wouldn't make the article.
This came after the recorded interview:
Lyne: so how are you doing? Are you taking care of yourself?
me: Yeah, mentally I'm doing pretty well. I'm doing what I need to do to get through this. But physically....sheesh, it's getting pretty bad. I think Jan Ulrich and I have a lot in common.
Lyne: Woah, careful there. That could be taken the wrong way. (laughs)
me: Ha! No, you know I mean...
Lyne: Yes, you mean you both like your donuts and schnitzel, right?
me: Yeah, I think Jan and I both like the schnitzel. (Pause) Whoa. Crap, that could be taken the wrong way too! You stopped recording right?

Very good article with Lynne, it showed that it was from the heart and that there was no bad intent whatsoever. Let's keep our fingers crossed now.

Tom, just a casual fan here, but hoping we see you in someone's colors soon. Can't imagine how I would have reacted to the email or letter -- probably would have hurled. The world needs more science teachers, but they can wait a couple of years, too.
