Rollercoaster ride, anyone?

Ah, the joys of bike racing. I had about 8 hours today to bask in the joy of our first NRC win this year before I found myself dazed, tangled with my bike on the ground, missing over a square foot of skin. Shit. I feel like a manic depressive. I had a rear blowout mid turn. But let's focus on the positives: I got to wear a leader's jersey in an NRC race for about 25 min. or so. Anyway, I'm planning on starting tomorrow. I should be lighter considering all the skin I donated to the pavement tonight so the climbs should go well.
In other news: my girlfriend can now legally buy an alcoholic beverage. Suck it, Betts! Happy Birthday, Kiks. I wish I were there.

pop quiz: Today's crash makes how many total in 2006 for me? so far, anyway :)
Bonus points if you can name the races.

awesome ride in the TT zirbel. sorry about the pavement disco dancing in the crit. your riding so strong right now that a crash was likely the only way to keep it fair to those other guys. Keep it rollin!

Fantastic TT, and good job in Stage 3. Sorry that you became a skin donor in stage 2. You guys have met quota in the man down department. Good luck with the rest of Nez and keep the wounds covered (no fun to stick to the sheets.)

Is that five for you so far? Anyway, it doesn't matter. Keep the rubber side down and keep getting strong results in Nez.

5 it is! Good work, Jim (Donger?). The wounds are starting to heal although still everytime I take a shower, the Culture Club song "Do you really want to hurt me?" runs through my head over and over.

Nez stage 3, TriPeaks stage 1, Shenandoah, Lancaster, Greensboro. I am guessing that is all of them, and hopefully it stays that way for the year. Keep the good form going dude...

I'm going for bonus points, Zirbel.

Greenwood Crit, Tour of Shenandoah, Tri Peaks Crit, Tour de Nez, and what else? Was it Joe Martin?

Horray for neosporin. Kick ass today. You're heroic.

Bonus points have to go to the Huckfactor even though I crashed in stage 2 in Nez not 3. I thought that you would know that one considering you watched me go down! Good job guys, it took me quite awhile to remember all of them. Defense mechanism, maybe?

Maybe your next team kit should be done in leather. While it may be it bit unbreathable at first I think you will find your crashes more bearable. Priority Health Leathers. Your jinxed dude. Go see a witch doctor. I remember you coming in from Stage 3 at the Gila a few years ago with your hands missing, near shock, and destroying your bedsheets. You give too much blood man. Save some for later. Talk soon. -Ian

Yo Z,
Nice riding this season. Why do you fall over so much now? I don't recall you falling over in cross or even track for that matter. Maybe you need to start riding with short-shorts and a singlet. Or perhaps it is the shaved legs. Try riding with a lead waterbottle set at your bottom bracket to lower your center of gravity.
Thought I should set the record straight that I was not the 'JIM (some fan)' from earlier. Whoever it is they deserve all the superfan glory.

Good luck in the coming races!
