Poor Fella

I couldn't resist posting this story brought to my attention by Betts. Ouch! 10 whole games!?! Granted, he probably will lose more money in 10 games than I will have lost in 2 years...
I could be wrong here but basketball is an Olympic sport and should be held to the WADA Code, right? Let me know your thoughts on the matter.

Didn't someone else just get in trouble too? I think I read an article somewhere about a biker getting a year long sanction for a banned substance, even though precedent in the sport would seem to dictate a 2 year sanction. Can't remember where I read this.....maybe velonews or espn.com.

Yep, Bonnie Ford of espn.com tries to make sense of the case you're referring to: http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/cycling/columns/story?columnist=ford_bonnie_d&id=6069073

I quite honestly don't understand your self-control. Don't things like this just make you want to walk down the middle of the sidewalk and beat the dog piss out of random people?

Tom, would love to hear your thoughts on Contador being cleared because there was no evidence that he knowingly ingested clenbuterol. I would imagine you were in the same boat (if it wasn't a false positive) yet were treated completely differently. I was really looking forward to watching your ride with Garmin this year.

Man...such a double and triple standard it is terrible. I have never met you but it makes me want to cry to see what happened. I hadn't even heard this story until seeing it on your blog tonight. Makes me want to scream!!!
